Comparison is killer and we need our dreams alive.
👣We walk in whatever direction we’re looking. If we constantly have our eyes locked on what everyone is doing around us, then we begin to walk wherever they’re walking. We were not created for anyone else’s life, only for our own.
👀You never know who is looking around to find someone like YOU, but you’re too busy trying to be like everyone else. We have our own gifts, talents, dreams, personality, and outlook on life. We have our own voice and our own stories. No one can take those away from you.
➡️Whether you believe in God or not, whether you believe you were made to be here or not - you’re here regardless. Why not make it count? Why not choose to believe that you have something to offer the world, rather than believe the world wants nothing to do with you?
🚪When we CHAMPION other people who are doing great things - when we feel like we have nothing to offer - the world will shift for you. Your character will shine through and doors will open for you that you didn’t know could.
⚰️There are dreams that no one else has thought of yet, except you. But every time you compare yourself, you are nailing the coffin shut on the things you were meant to do. How do we bury insecurity for good instead?
📍Some things that have helped me:
1️⃣CHOOSE every day to believe you are special and that you have a voice that no one else does. Your ideas could change the world. 2️⃣Don’t depend on other people to make you feel secure. It’s INTERNAL, not EXTERNAL.
3️⃣Do something that brings you closer to accomplishing the dream you have. Maybe it's journaling out a plan to get there, going back to school, working somewhere in the field you want to pursue.
💬If you’re saying that you don’t have a dream, you don’t know what you want to do with your life - GREAT! You have an opportunity to try EVERYTHING! Work anywhere you can, talk to as many people as possible, look into different opportunities. (And if you’re a believer in Jesus Christ, ask Him what you should be pursuing in your life.)
